Mission
ABC Consult is a project based initiative to provide pro bono consulting services to Africa focused businesses, entrepreneurs and non-profit organizations.
Our mission is to add value to our clients by leveraging the talent pool existing within the Columbia Business School community and provide hands on experience and networking opportunities to students with an interest in Africa
Our semester long engagements will help clients with strategic and operational issues such as raising money for entrepreneurial ideas, market entry strategies, feasibility studies, marketing plans etc.
History
ABC Consult was founded in 2011 by a group of African MBA students seeking to complement their studies with hands on experience working with clients in (or focused on) Africa.
Our pilot project was in the spring 2012 semester; a team of three worked with New Faces New Voices, a non-profit organization founded by South Africa’s first lady, Mrs. Graca Machel.
Process – How to Apply
The project is structured as an independent study, is supervised by a member of the faculty, and students will receive academic credit for their work.
Potential clients are sourced from within our community and through a standard application process. For more details, please email us at abcconsult.cbs@gmail.com.
